Raja Casablanca strengthened their grip on the summit of Morocco’s Botola Pro with a convincing 2-0 victory over Olympique Safi at the Mohammed V Stadium.

The home side set the tone early in the encounter when defender Abdellah Khafifi rose highest to head home in the 11th minute, giving Raja the advantage and putting them firmly in control of the contest.

The Greens maintained their dominance throughout the match and eventually added a second goal late in the game when Mohamed Bouleksout found the net in the 76th minute to secure the result.

Olympique Safi’s chances of staging a comeback were further complicated after Sofiane El Mouden was shown a red card, forcing the visitors to continue the match with ten men while facing sustained pressure from the league leaders. Safi struggled to create meaningful chances and spent most of the game pinned in their own half.

The victory keeps Raja at the top of the Botola standings with 30 points, while Olympique Safi remain rooted to the bottom with only seven points to their name.

Elsewhere, Maghreb Fes climbed to second place following an impressive 2–0 away win against Olympique Dcheira. Sofiane Benjdida opened the scoring as early as the ninth minute to give the visitors an early advantage.

Souleymane Allouch later extended the lead in the second half, ensuring Maghreb Fes walked away with all three points.

The win lifts Maghreb Fes to 27 points, maintaining pressure on Raja in the title race, while Dcheira stay in mid-table with 16 points.

AS FAR, meanwhile, failed to capitalize on the opportunity to keep pace with the leaders after being held to a goalless draw by Chabab Zemamra. Despite creating several dangerous chances, neither side managed to find the breakthrough in a tightly contested match.

AS FAR’s situation worsened in the second half when Jamal Chamakh was sent off in the 60th minute, leaving them to finish the game with ten players. The draw leaves the club in third place on 26 points, four behind Raja, while Zemamra occupy 13th position with 13 points.

After 15 rounds of matches, Raja lead the Botola standings with 30 points, followed by Maghreb Fes with 27 and AS FAR with 26. Wydad Casablanca and CODM Meknes are also on 26 points but have played fewer matches, while RSB Berkane sit just behind with 21 points.

Attention now turns to two fixtures scheduled for tonight. RSB Berkane will take on Difaa El Jadida, while Union Touarga are set to host Wydad Casablanca. Both matches could have an impact on the upper half of the table, particularly with Wydad looking to close the gap on the leaders.
