Morocco: Bouziane Ben Aribi appointed as Hassania Agadir head coach following Amir Abdou’s departure

Algerian coach Bouziane Ben Aribi has been named the new head coach of Hassania Agadir after the sudden exit of Amir Abdou, who left to take charge of the Burkina Faso national football team.

Ben Aribi, previously an assistant under Abdou, is familiar with the squad and will take the reins immediately.

His first assignment as head coach will be Wednesday’s Botola Pro clash against Renaissance Berkane.

Abdou departed Hassania Agadir the day following their defeat to Raja Casablanca, marking a new chapter for both the Comorian coach and the club.

With Ben Aribi now in charge, Hassania Agadir looks to stabilise and continue their campaign in the Moroccan top flight under homegrown leadership.

Meanwhile, Hassania Agadir has confirmed it will escalate the situation with Comorian coach Amir Abdou after he chose to leave the club to take charge of the Burkina Faso national football team.

The Moroccan side stated that it received an email from Abdou indicating that he had terminated his contract.

In response, Hassania Agadir announced it would pursue all necessary procedures to defend its rights and preserve the club’s stability and reputation.
