Noha Ndombasi: Centre-forward linked with move to Kazakhstan side Kaspiy Aktau

Kaspiy Aktau have completed the signing of centre-forward Noha Ndombasi from Ukrainian side Kryvbas Kryvyi Rig on a free transfer, tying the 24-year-old down on a contract running from 2026-03-04 to 2028-12-31. The move takes the France/DR Congo attacker to Kazakhstan’s Premier Liga, where he arrives with a current market valuation of €200k.

The deal sees Kaspiy Aktau pick up the player without a transfer fee after his spell at Kryvbas, where he had been on the books in the Ukrainian Premier Liga. Ndombasi, who stands 1.74 m tall and plays primarily as a centre-forward, becomes one of the new attacking options for the Kazakh top-flight club as they look to strengthen their forward line.

Born in Bondy and holding both French and DR Congo nationality, Ndombasi has built a career that has already taken him through several European footballing cultures. Before his stint at Kryvbas, he played in France’s set-up with US Concarneau, in Switzerland’s Super League environment with FC St. Gallen 1879, and in Spain with Valencia Mestalla and Valencia CF U19. Earlier still, he had risen through the youth ranks at FC Girondins Bordeaux (U17 and U19) and FC Montfermeil Jugend in France.

The forward’s path to Kazakhstan comes after a period that included a rise and subsequent adjustment in market value. His valuation climbed as high as €400k during his time at US Concarneau, later settling at €300k while at Kryvbas and then at €200k shortly before this transfer. Throughout that journey he has remained an attack-focused player, consistently listed as a centre-forward with a preference for his right foot.

For Kaspiy Aktau, signing a player with experience in France, Spain, Switzerland, and Ukraine represents a calculated attempt to add international know-how to their Premier Liga campaign. Ndombasi’s background in different tactical systems and competitive environments could provide versatility in the final third, even though detailed appearance and goal statistics from his recent seasons are not specified in the available data.

The move also underlines the increasingly global route of players with dual nationality such as Ndombasi. Having never settled permanently in the top flight of his birth country, he continues his career abroad, now in Kazakhstan’s Premier Liga, rather than in France or DR Congo. Previous spells out of contract and his time “without club” before joining St. Gallen and Kryvbas highlight how his career has already involved moments of uncertainty, with the possibility of free agency again having been on the horizon before Kaspiy Aktau moved to secure him.

As he begins this new chapter with Kaspiy Aktau, Ndombasi’s task will be to convert his varied European experience into consistent performances in Kazakhstan, using this long-term contract to stabilise his trajectory and potentially lift both his reputation and market value in a new league.
