Paul Pogba linked with Montreal move as Monaco contract runs to 2027

French and Guinean midfielder Paul Pogba is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Monaco to Montreal in Major League Soccer.

Pogba joined Monaco from free agency on 1 July 2025 and remains under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2027. The 33-year-old’s current market value is listed at €2.5m.

The central midfielder has made six Ligue 1 appearances since joining Monaco, playing 115 minutes. His move to the French club followed his departure from Juventus in December 2024.

A transfer to Montreal would represent Pogba’s first move to Major League Soccer. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the rumour.

Pogba has also enjoyed a distinguished international career with France, winning the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League. At club level, he won four Serie A titles with Juventus and the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017.

He previously returned to Juventus from Manchester United in 2022 on a free transfer before leaving the Italian club two years later. His current agreement with Monaco means any move to Montreal would need to be completed either through a transfer or after the expiry of his contract.
