Guinea: Serhou Guirassy’s late goal gives Dortmund crucial Bundesliga win at Wolfsburg

Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy’s prolific spell in Germany has reportedly placed him at the centre of AC Milan’s transfer plans ahead of the summer window.

The Guinean striker has netted 54 goals in 86 competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund, a return that has not gone unnoticed across Europe.

According to Turkish transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, the Rossoneri have made Guirassy their primary objective for the upcoming transfer window. However, convincing Dortmund to part ways with their in-form forward could prove to be a major challenge.

From the Bundesliga side’s standpoint, there is little appetite to entertain offers. Reports suggest Milan would need to present an exceptionally attractive financial package to even open negotiations, given Dortmund’s firm stance on retaining one of their most decisive players.

The club’s determination was reportedly evident during the winter transfer window. Speaking on the Sky programme “Triple – the Hagedorn Football Talk,” player advisor Roger Wittmann revealed that an approach had been made, but Dortmund swiftly shut down discussions.

“Then I did what you have to do: I asked the club. They rejected it. Then the matter was immediately settled,” Wittmann explained, adding, “A lot of money was involved.”

He further noted that Dortmund “made it clear and unambiguous that they didn’t want it because they are ambitious.”

Guirassy remains under contract at Dortmund until the summer of 2028, leaving the German club under no immediate pressure to sell. Nevertheless, Bild reported in mid-February that the striker is targeting what could be the final major contract of his career in the summer of 2026, a scenario that may eventually reopen the transfer conversation.
