Russian move stalls despite strong interest in Cameroonian forward Karl Etta Eyong

Cameroon forward Karl Etta Eyong could be set for a summer transfer after reports emerged that CSKA Moscow have tabled an offer worth more than €30m to UD Levante.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Spanish side on 1 September 2025, has attracted strong interest from Russia, but the move appears uncertain after the player reportedly rejected the proposal.

The disagreement is said to have led to him being left on the bench for Levante’s match against Villarreal CF.

Levante’s leadership is understood to be considering the offer, highlighting a potential difference in position between the club and the striker over his immediate future.

Despite the Russian interest, several major European clubs are also monitoring the situation.

Among those reportedly following developments are FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Fulham FC and Everton FC.

Eyong remains under contract with Levante until June 2029 and is currently valued at €20m by Transfermarkt.

Over the course of the season he has made 22 league appearances, scoring six goals and providing three assists.

Attention now turns to Levante’s upcoming league fixture against Barcelona in the 25th round of the Spanish championship, where the forward’s selection will again be closely watched amid continued uncertainty over his future.
