Tunisia’s under-16 side завершed their UNAF U16 campaign in emphatic fashion, edging Morocco 3–2 to seal a flawless tournament and underline their supremacy in North African youth football.
The decisive victory came on the third and final matchday, a contest that carried pride and prestige even though Tunisia had already secured the title the previous day.
Against long-time regional rivals Morocco, the young Carthage Eagles delivered another assured display, combining attacking efficiency with resilience under pressure to complete a perfect run.
Tunisia set the tone early, imposing themselves in the first half with purpose and intensity.
Mohamed Othmen Ben Hassine opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, rewarding a strong spell of pressure with a composed finish.
As Morocco struggled to settle, Tunisia tightened their grip on the match, doubling their advantage shortly before the interval when Mohamed Iyed Ferchichi found the net in the 40th minute.
The start of the second half brought further encouragement for the Tunisian bench.
Ben Hassine struck again in the 41st minute, completing his brace and giving his side what appeared to be a commanding three-goal cushion.
At that stage, Tunisia looked firmly in control, demonstrating the attacking balance and discipline that had characterised their tournament.
Morocco, however, refused to fade quietly.
The second half saw a spirited response as Saiid Boudi pulled one back on the hour mark, injecting belief into his side.
That momentum grew when Sleheddine Tagwe reduced the deficit further in the 73rd minute, turning the closing stages into a tense and competitive affair.
Despite the late pressure, Tunisia’s defence stood firm.
Calm organisation and collective effort allowed them to absorb Morocco’s advances and protect their narrow lead until the final whistle.
The victory secured Tunisia’s third win from three matches, confirming their dominance beyond doubt.
Elsewhere on the final day, Algeria recorded a 2–1 win over Libya, a result that shaped the final standings but did little to alter Tunisia’s commanding position at the top.
The tournament concluded with Tunisia finishing on a maximum nine points, ahead of Algeria on four.
Morocco ended with two points, while Libya collected one.
For Tunisia’s under-16s, the perfect record not only delivered the trophy but also offered a clear statement of strength and promise at youth level.
