Nathan Ngoumou is reportedly close to leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach for OGC Nice.

According to Sky, the Bundesliga club and the Ligue 1 side have reached a full agreement over the transfer, with the move now nearing completion.

The 26-year-old winger is expected to join Nice as a free agent, despite still having a contract with Gladbach until 2027. The unusual arrangement will allow the French club to secure Ngoumou without paying an immediate transfer fee, while Borussia retain the possibility of earning additional income later.

Gladbach’s compensation will reportedly come through performance-related bonuses worth up to €500,000. The German club will also receive 10 percent of any future transfer fee if Nice eventually sell the attacker.

Ngoumou now appears ready to return to France and begin a fresh chapter in Ligue 1. His pace and ability to operate on either flank could offer Nice another attacking option, while the move may give him a chance to regain consistency and confidence.

For Gladbach, the agreement provides a practical solution for a player entering the final year of his contract. Rather than risk losing him without any future benefit, the club has secured potential bonuses and a resale clause. An official announcement is expected soon.
