Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has shared his excitement after joining Atletico Madrid in the recently concluded transfer window.
The enterprising attacker secured a transfer deadline day move to the Spanish club, bringing an end to a memorable three-and-a-half-year spell with the Italian side, a period that firmly established him as one of the club’s modern greats.
His time in Bergamo was crowned by a historic achievement in 2024, when he inspired Atalanta to their first-ever UEFA Europa League title.
The Nigerian international delivered a performance for the ages in the final, scoring a sensational hat-trick to seal the trophy and etch his name into European football history.
However, Lookman, has expressed his excitement joining Atletico Madrid, while promising to contribute his quota to the team.
