Maghreb de Fès are set to lose one of their standout performers this winter, while another key player remains firmly in Morocco as European interest grows.
The Moroccan club, currently second in the Botola Pro with 19 points from five wins and four draws, has attracted attention from Belgium for two of their top performers: defensive midfielder Oussama Noureddine and striker Soufiane Benjdida.
Sources indicate that the club has received a formal offer from the Belgian league for both players.
Oussama Noureddine is expected to make the move to Europe. The 26-year-old, who previously played in the UAE for Khor Fakkan, has been identified as having a profile well-suited for European football.
The club views the transfer as timely, offering both a career progression opportunity for the player and alignment with Maghreb de Fès’s broader sporting strategy.
By contrast, Soufiane Benjdida will remain in Fez. The club has firmly rejected offers for the striker, prioritising their title ambitions and a potential qualification for the next African Champions League.
Benjdida, who leads the league’s scoring charts with nine goals in nine matches, has previously played in Belgium with Standard Liège and RWDM Brussels, which has fueled renewed interest in him. His presence is seen as essential for maintaining the club’s competitiveness in the domestic league.
This approach reflects Maghreb de Fès’s strategy of balancing player development with the club’s immediate objectives.
While talented individuals like Noureddine may be allowed to pursue opportunities abroad, core players such as Benjdida are considered vital to sustaining the team’s momentum and pursuing historic achievements this season.
With the winter transfer window closing soon, European clubs are closely monitoring Moroccan talent, but Maghreb de Fès appear determined to protect the key elements of their squad while selectively supporting the progression of their players abroad.
