FCE MA bring in French-Moroccan midfielder Mohamed Tariqui after Trelissac exit

French-Moroccan defensive midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer, completing his move on 4 August 2026.

The 24-year-old, who was born in Pessac, switches clubs within National 2 after one season with Trelissac. He previously joined Trelissac from Stade Bordelais in July 2025, also on a free transfer.

Tariqui is a right-footed midfielder who stands 1.84m tall and operates primarily in a defensive role. His arrival gives FCE MA an experienced option in the centre of the pitch as the club continues in National 2 Group A, the same division in which Trelissac played.

His recorded National 2 statistics include 25 appearances and four goals in one campaign, followed by 22 appearances and three goals in another. He also made 11 appearances in a further National 2 season and featured four times in the Coupe de France, while scoring once in two Coupe Gambardella appearances.

Tariqui began his senior career with Merignac after coming through Merignac Under-19s. He moved to Stade Bordelais in July 2022 before making the switch to Trelissac three years later. Each of his two most recent club moves was completed without a transfer fee.

He now returns to a National 2 Group A setting with FCE MA, having made his latest club change at the start of August. The transfer is the latest step in a career spent in French football, with Tariqui having represented clubs based in the Bordeaux area.

Tariqui’s move from Trelissac FC to FCE MA was completed as a free transfer on 4 August 2026.
