FCE MA bring in France-Morocco midfielder Mohamed Tariqui after Trelissac exit

FCE MA have added France-Morocco midfielder Mohamed Tariqui, who has joined the National 2 club from Trelissac FC on a free transfer.

Tariqui, 24, completed the move on 4 August and becomes an FCE MA player after one season with Trelissac. The defensive midfielder previously represented Stade Bordelais, joining them from Merignac in July 2022 before switching to Trelissac in July 2025.

The Pessac-born player has built his senior career in the French lower leagues and has featured primarily in National 2. He made 25 appearances and scored four goals in one National 2 Group B campaign, while also recording three goals in 22 appearances in Group A.

Tariqui brings experience of playing in several competitions, including the Coupe de France, where he made four appearances. He also featured twice in the Coupe Gambardella, scoring once.

The 1.84m midfielder is right-footed and has played in the centre of midfield during a career that began with Merignac’s under-19 side. His move to FCE MA represents his latest step within the French National 2 structure, with the club and Trelissac operating in the same division and group.

Tariqui’s previous two senior transfers were also completed without a fee. He left Merignac for Stade Bordelais in 2022 and moved from Stade Bordelais to Trelissac three years later, before making the latest switch to FCE MA.

The new arrival has dual French and Moroccan nationality and was born on 31 March 2002. His experience in midfield and record of contributing goals from a deeper position add further senior-level experience to the FCE MA squad.

Tariqui has now completed his free transfer from Trelissac FC to FCE MA.
