Augustine Mulenga says he wants to reignite his international career upon his return to Zambia after parting ways with AmaZulu FC.
Mulenga’s second stint with the South African club ended in June 2025 after the club opted not to renew his contract.
He was among the 18 players who parted ways with the outfit, leaving him free to join a new club of his choice.
The 36-year-old later joined NAPSA Stars in the Zambian Super League, marking a return to the club he left in July 2023.
Mulenga, who has also featured for the likes of Orlando Pirates and Chippa United, now says he is ready to represent Chipolopolo once again, although his last appearance came in 2021.
According to Zambian outlet BolaNews, Mulenga said: “I am still Zambian, and I will forever remain a Zambian.
“If the Zambia National Team gives me an opportunity to play for the National Team again, I will grab that opportunity wisely because I know what the National Team means to me.
“I know and believe that if the coach can give me an opportunity again, I can use it wisely because I know what the national team demands.
“I will just continue working extra hard and do well with my club, and I am sure the national team coach always watches our games. If he gives me the chance, I will go there and represent the nation.”
