Head coach of Zamalek, Moataz Gamal, has stressed that his team’s goal is to beat Al-Masry in order to top their group in the Confederation Cup.
Zamalek will play against Al Masry in the third round of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup on Sunday.
However, Moataz Gamal, has set sights on securing the maximum points in the match to move top of the standings.
“We have an ambition to win in order to top the group, and we have worked during the past week to achieve the desired goal,” said Moataz Jamal at the pre-match press conference.
“Winning against Al-Masry in the Egyptian Capital Cup is a positive thing because we worked hard and studied the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team.”
“We are suffering from absences such as Ahmed Fatouh, Omar Gaber, Nabil Emad, Abdullah Al-Saeed and others, and the team must be ready and united, and we must play the match with spirit and seriousness.”
“In Al Masry’s last match in the Egypt Cup, a large number of young players participated, and I have confidence in all the players and the young players have the incentives and motivation to compensate for the absences in the team’s ranks.”
“The return of the national team players is a positive thing, and I wished Ahmed Fatouh would be present in tomorrow’s match. Everyone’s goal is to achieve victory and make Zamalek fans happy,” he said.
“Everyone is preparing seriously for the match despite any circumstances the club is going through, and our goal is to achieve victory to make the fans happy.”
