The Congolese government has allocated 33 billion CFA francs for the preparation of the 11th African Games, which will be hosted by Brazzaville in 2015. The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Léon Alfred Opimbat, mentioned that all essential studies for the event have been completed, and calls for tenders have been launched. The games are scheduled to take place at the sports palace with a capacity of 16,000 seats, and a nautical complex featuring an Olympic swimming pool that can accommodate over 12,000 athletes. The High Council for Sport in Africa and the Association of African National Olympic Committees (ACNOA) are expected to provide valuable input for the successful organization of the games.
