Spanish forward of Guinea-Bissau descent, Ansu Fati, will travel to France on Wednesday, June 25, to undergo a medical examination ahead of his proposed move to AS Monaco.
Once the medical examination is out of the way, Fati will move from Barcelona to AS Monaco in hopes of reviving his career.
As reported already by Africasoccer, the attacker will sign a contract extension deal with FC Barcelona before sealing his loan move to the Ligue 1 club.
The loan deal will include a clause which will allow AS Monaco to secure the permanent signing of Ansu Fati at the end of the 2025/26 football season.
Fati, who was born in Guinea-Bissau before moving to Spain at a young age, represents La Roja internationally but maintains strong ties to his West African heritage.
The 22-year-old has struggled to secure consistent minutes at Barcelona since his return from long-term injury and is now set for a fresh start in the French top flight.
He is confident that a move to the Ligue 1 side will turn his career around for the better.
