Egyptian international Baher El Mohamady has renewed his contract with Al Masry, warding off interest from rivals to sign the defender.
The 29-year-old, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the current season will now stay at Al Masry until 2028 after penning a new deal.
Mohamady signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Al Masry for a longer period. He joined Al Masry from fellow Egyptian club, Ismaily in the summer of 2023 on a three-year deal for 20 million Egyptian pounds.
Since joining the club, the enterprising centre-back has established himself as a member of the Egyptian outfit, racking up 69 appearances and scoring one goal across the period.
During the current season, he played 16 matches wearing the team’s jersey in the league and the Confederation Cup.
Baher previously played for Zamalek and Ismaily, and also represented the Egyptian national team.
