Egypt winger Ibrahim Adel says he and his teammates will give everything to win for the national team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs finished on top of Group B with seven points, one point ahead of second-placed South Africa, who defeated Zimbabwe 3-2 on Monday.
Before the final group game, Egypt had already secured a place in the round of 16 after back-to-back wins over Zimbabwe (2-1) and South Africa (1-0).
“We wanted to win against Angola, but we got what we wanted. We had several opportunities, but we were not successful.”
“Hossam Hassan wanted to try out all the players, and our goal is to make the Egyptian fans happy, and now we are focusing on the round of 16 match.”
“We don’t want a specific opponent in the round of 16, but we will give our all in the match because we are playing in the name of Egypt.” He told ON Sport.
Egypt, seven-time champions, are seeking to reclaim the continental title as they enter the decisive phase of the Africa Cup of Nations, buoyed by strong performances and growing belief within the camp.
