Bayern Munich hold initial talks in bid to sign English-Zambian winger Jeremy Monga

Bayern Munich have reportedly begun initial discussions as they explore a possible move for highly rated England-born winger of Zambian descent, Jeremy Monga.

The Bundesliga champions are said to be monitoring the teenager closely as interest in his future continues to grow across Europe.

Recruiting young talents from England has become a familiar path for German clubs in recent years, and Monga now appears to be the latest prospect attracting serious attention. According to TEAMtalk, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are both in the race for the Leicester City youngster, who is widely regarded as one of the brightest emerging talents in English football.

It is understood that both Bundesliga sides have already held concrete talks with the player’s representatives as they position themselves for a potential deal. Bayern and Dortmund are not alone in their pursuit, with European heavyweights including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus also keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.

Monga rose to prominence a few months ago when he etched his name into the record books by surpassing former Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

At just 16 years and 37 days old, he became the youngest goalscorer in Championship history. He also matched a long-standing Leicester City milestone by becoming the club’s youngest-ever starter, a record that had stood for 59 years.

Despite the growing interest surrounding him, the teenager is believed to be taking a cautious approach regarding his next move.

Reports suggest Monga intends to make a final decision on his sporting future in early 2026 as he weighs his options at club level.
