Sturm Graz are being linked with a move for Stuttgart II right-back Christopher Olivier, with the Austrian-born defender reportedly carrying a transfer probability of 13% and a market value of €500,000.
Reports in Germany and Austria suggest Sturm are monitoring the 19-year-old as a potential long-term option at right-back, though no agreement between the clubs has been indicated and there is no confirmation of any formal bid. With no public information on the length of Olivier’s current deal at Stuttgart II, observers have also noted the possibility that his contractual situation could yet open the door to a lower-fee move or even a future free transfer.
Olivier, who represents both Austria and South Africa at nationality level, has been developing in Germany’s system since arriving from AKA Vorarlberg in 2022. He progressed through VfB Stuttgart’s U17 and U19 sides before stepping up to Stuttgart II for the 2024-25 campaign in the 3. Liga. Official data lists him at 1.87m tall and predominantly a right-footed defender, operating mainly as a right-back.
Transfermarkt records show his valuation has risen from €400,000 in September 2024 to €500,000 by the end of that year, a figure that has been maintained into June 2025. That relatively modest market value for a young defender with professional experience in Germany is thought to make him an intriguing, lower-risk target for an Austrian Bundesliga side such as Sturm Graz.
Born in Au on 31 January 2006, Olivier began his youth career at FC Au before moving through successive age groups at AKA Vorarlberg, then making the switch to Stuttgart’s academy. Any move to Graz would represent a first senior step in his home country’s top flight and, if it materialises, could prove a significant staging post in a career that is only just beginning to take shape.
