Cameroon international Mahamadou Nagida is attracting interest from Inter Milan and Porto after an impressive start to the season with Rennes.

The 21-year-old left-back has caught the attention of the two European clubs, who are monitoring his performances ahead of a potential move in a future transfer window.

Neither Inter Milan nor Porto has made an official offer for the defender, with both clubs still assessing his progress. However, the reported interest could put Nagida’s future at Rennes under scrutiny as the next transfer window approaches.

Rennes are determined to protect their investment and have no intention of allowing the young defender to leave cheaply. The French club previously rejected a €5m offer from Turkish side Besiktas last summer and are expected to maintain a firm position over his future.

Nagida’s contractual situation gives Rennes a strong negotiating position. The Cameroon international, who developed at the Elite du Football des Boissons du Cameroun (EFBC), is under contract with the Ligue 1 side until June 2029.

His long-term deal means Rennes are not under immediate pressure to sell, particularly as his performances continue to attract attention from clubs across Europe.

Nagida is currently valued at €10m by Transfermarkt, with his market value continuing to rise following his displays in the French top flight.

The reported interest from Inter Milan and Porto could increase competition for his signature if either club decides to make a formal approach. For now, however, neither side has submitted an official bid, and the situation remains at the monitoring stage.

Rennes are expected to demand a substantial fee should negotiations over a possible transfer begin, especially given the defender’s contract length and growing reputation.

With Inter Milan and Porto keeping a close eye on his development, Nagida could become one of the Cameroon players attracting significant attention during the next transfer window.

For the moment, his immediate future remains at Rennes, where his performances have helped place him on the radar of two prominent European clubs. Whether their interest develops into a concrete offer remains to be seen.
