Anass Salah-Eddine is being strongly linked with a move from Roma to PSV, with the likelihood of a deal currently rated at 89%, according to data from Transfermarkt.

The 23-year-old left-back, who holds both Moroccan and Dutch nationality, is rumoured to be heading back to the Eredivisie, where PSV are exploring defensive reinforcements. Roma remain his parent club, but the high probability attached to the move has intensified speculation that the Italian side could sanction his switch to Eindhoven rather than keep him in Serie A.

Salah-Eddine’s current market value is listed at €12.00m, a sharp rise from the €100,000 valuation he carried as a teenager at Ajax’s youth set-up. That trajectory, climbing through €4m and €5m during his time at Twente before reaching €8m at Roma and now €12m at PSV, underlines why both clubs see him as a significant asset rather than a fringe option.

The defender is on the books at PSV already via a loan transfer from Roma, with an upcoming return to the Giallorossi scheduled as an “end of loan” in the data. That arrangement has prompted talk that PSV could try to convert his stay into a longer-term arrangement, while Roma face a decision over whether to integrate him fully or cash in before he risks edging towards a potential free-agent scenario further down the line.

Born in Amsterdam on 18 January 2002 and standing at 1.81m, Salah-Eddine has come through a series of Dutch academies, including AZ Alkmaar Youth and multiple Ajax youth sides, before senior spells with Twente and Roma. Registered as a left-back and a left-footed defender, he has already experienced top-flight football in both the Eredivisie and Serie A, a combination that makes him an appealing option for PSV’s ambitions domestically and in Europe.

If the move does materialise, trading Rome for Eindhoven again could mark the next decisive step in Salah-Eddine’s rapid rise, shaping not only his standing in Dutch football but also his long-term prospects at international level.
