NAC Breda are being linked with a move for NEC Nijmegen striker Youssef El Kachati, with the Eredivisie club reportedly weighing up a deal for the Moroccan-Dutch forward.
The 26-year-old centre-forward, who holds both Morocco and Netherlands nationality, is currently on the books at NEC but is the subject of growing speculation over a switch to Breda, according to data compiled on 15 December 2025. The likelihood of the move has not been assigned a firm probability, with the rumour rated simply as “?”, underlining the early and uncertain nature of the talks.
El Kachati is listed with a market value of €700k at NEC, a figure that could make him an attainable option for NAC as they look to bolster their attacking options. With no contract expiry date publicly indicated and past experience of being without a club earlier in his career, observers have also noted the possibility that future negotiations could pivot around his contractual status and potential free-agency scenarios.
Born in Leiden on 9 November 1999 and standing at 1.85m, El Kachati operates primarily as a centre-forward and is right-footed. His route to NEC has been unconventional: after youth football with VV Noordwijk, he progressed through Sparta Rotterdam’s youth ranks before a spell without a club in 2020. Subsequent moves to VV Noordwijk, Belgian side Jong Westel, KVV Quick Boys Katwijk and then SC Telstar eventually led to his switch into the Eredivisie with NEC.
His market value has fluctuated notably, rising from €75k at Telstar in early 2024 to a peak of €800k in June 2025 before settling at €700k at NEC in December 2025, reflecting both his development and changing club circumstances.
If NAC Breda choose to act on this interest, a transfer could offer El Kachati a fresh platform in the Eredivisie and a chance to further define his career trajectory and reputation at the top level of Dutch football.
