Ayyoub Bouaddi weighs France and Morocco options as international decision looms

France-born midfielder of Moroccan descent, Ayyoub Bouaddi, has expressed his excitement after signing a contract extension with French Ligue 1 side Lille, aiming to continue his development at the club in the coming years.

In recent months, Bouaddi has been linked with potential moves to European giants such as Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Chelsea, reflecting his rising profile at just 18 years old.

However, Bouaddi appears focused on his growth at Lille, having extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2029, the Ligue 1 outfit confirmed late Friday. His previous deal was set to run until 2027.

Whether this will come as a setback for Bayern Munich is open to debate. According to the “Bayern Insider” podcast, Bouaddi is reportedly low on the German club’s priority list, if considered at all.

In the ongoing 2025/26 season, Bouaddi has featured in 18 competitive matches across all competitions for Lille, starting in 15 of those games, underscoring his increasing importance to the team.
