MC Alger to make three key signings in January – Reports
MC Alger are set to strengthen their squad in the upcoming January transfer window, responding to a request from head coach Rulani Mokwena.
The move follows MC Alger’s 0-0 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League last week, after which Mokwena reportedly highlighted the need for reinforcements.
Local reports suggest the club is targeting additions in four key areas: two wingers, a centre-back, and an attacking midfielder, with a central defender taking priority.
MC Alger have reportedly compiled a three-man shortlist for the centre-back position.
The first is 26-year-old Algeria international Achref Abada, though interest from Al Ahly and Espérance de Tunis could complicate negotiations.
Also on the list is 33-year-old Saudi Pro League defender Abdelkader Bedrane, whose contract with Damac FC runs until June 2026, potentially making a January move more feasible.
The final candidate is USM Alger’s Adem Alilet, who is reportedly in the process of terminating his current contract, clearing the way for a possible transfer.
