Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi believes he has found the ideal stage for his talent in La Liga after settling quickly at Girona.
The former Olympique Marseille player, who made the switch in the summer, says the Spanish top flight has reignited his love for the game.
“I’ve rediscovered the joy of playing in La Liga,” he told the league’s official channel.
“After the 2022 World Cup, I knew this was where I wanted to be. It’s the league that suits me best, and my style fits perfectly here.”
Ounahi has made an immediate impact at Girona, registering three goals in nine appearances so far this season.
He will look to maintain that form as Girona prepare for a Copa del Rey second-round clash with Ourense CF, before returning to league action against Elche.
