Dayot Upamecano is being linked with a move from Bayern Munich to Paris Saint-Germain, with the probability of a transfer currently rated at 32%.

The Bayern Munich centre-back, valued at €60.00m, is the subject of growing speculation over a possible switch from the Bundesliga champions to the Ligue 1 giants, according to data compiled on 24 November 2025. The interest is understood to centre on a permanent transfer rather than a loan, with no agreement in place and no contract terms disclosed at this stage.

Upamecano, 27, remains contracted to Bayern but the available data does not list an expiry date, leaving open the possibility that he could move later as a free agent if no extension is agreed. For now, any transfer remains firmly in the realm of rumour, with PSG monitoring a defender who has extensive experience in both the German and Austrian top flights.

Born in Évreux on 27 October 1998, the France and Guinea-Bissau national has built his reputation as a right-footed centre-back, standing at 1.86m, and wearing the number 2 shirt for Bayern. He joined the Munich club from RB Leipzig in 2021, having previously progressed through Red Bull Salzburg after leaving Valenciennes’ youth ranks in France.

His market value has climbed back to €60.00m as of October 2025, reflecting his status in Bayern’s squad and his exposure at the highest level. Upamecano’s career path through Salzburg, Leipzig and now Bayern has kept him in the Bundesliga and Austrian Bundesliga, while a move to PSG would return him to French domestic football for the first time at senior level.

With no formal bid reported and only a 32% likelihood attached to the move, PSG’s interest remains speculative. Even so, a switch to Paris – whether now or at a later stage of his contract – could prove pivotal in shaping Upamecano’s next peak years and refining his reputation among Europe’s elite defenders.
