Antonio Rudiger on the radar of PSG

Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the contract situation of Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger as they consider a potential move for the German international at the end of the season.

According to reports, the French champions are interested in signing the 33-year-old centre-back, whose current contract with the Spanish giants expires at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

PSG are reportedly looking to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Rudiger’s future at the Santiago Bernabéu, with the possibility of securing his services as a free agent presenting an attractive opportunity.

The Parisian club value the defender’s physical strength, leadership qualities and extensive experience at the highest level of European football. His arrival could also provide valuable guidance to PSG’s younger defenders.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have yet to accelerate discussions over a contract extension, potentially opening the door for other clubs to explore a move for the experienced centre-back.

Rudiger, who has Sierra Leonean roots joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer of 2022 and has since played an important role in the club’s defence, helping them win the UEFA Champions League, La Liga and the UEFA Super Cup.

According to Transfermarkt, the German defender currently has a market value of €6 million.

With his contract approaching its expiry, Rudiger’s future could become a major talking point as PSG assess their options to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
