France youngster of Cameroonian descent, Ethan Mbappe is attracting significant interest from the Algeria national team.

For his recent performances, Algeria, who are seeking to strengthen their team for subsequent tournaments, sees undeniable potential in the Lille youngster. Currently, discussions regarding Ethan Mbappe’s switch are beginning to take shape.

Having captured goalkeeper Lucas Zidan, the Algeria Football Federation are said to be closely several binational talents, including Ethan Mbappe, who has been impressive in the current campaign for Lille.

Currently considered as a French football, the talented midfielder has yet to make an appearances for the French youth teams, making nationality switch possible.

Meanwhile, it is unknown whether the midfielder will follow his senior brother Kylian Mbappe and represent France at the international level.

The 18-year-old has made five appearances in the French Ligue 1 this season, scoring two goals across the period.
