Al Ahly demands action against Zamalek fans

Al Ahly Football Club has officially submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Football Association, urgently calling for an investigation into what it described as “unethical behavior” from Zamalek supporters toward player Ahmed Mostafa Zizo and his family during the Egyptian Super Cup final in Abu Dhabi.

The club asserts that Zizo faced abusive chants and offensive language in front of attendees including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, and other key football officials. Al Ahly emphasized that such incidents have become common due to insufficient deterrence.

The club demanded enforcement of regulations and protection of its players’ rights to preserve moral values and fair competition in Egyptian football.

Meanwhile, Zamalek filed a counter-complaint against Zizo for not adhering to sportsmanship during the award ceremony, specifically for refusing to shake hands with a team official. Zamalek cited disciplinary codes requiring respect and called for appropriate sanctions.

The article also covers Al Ahly’s travel preparations for upcoming matches in Morocco, and team updates including medical checks and short vacations for players. Al Ahly’s young defender Ahmed Abdeen is set for a trial period with Portugal’s Famalicao, highlighting club support for youth development.
