Amine Gouiri has begun his rehabilitation at the Aspetar Medical Center in Doha following a shoulder injury sustained during France’s World Cup 2026 qualifier against Uganda.

The Algerian striker, currently with Olympique de Marseille, is focusing on recovery under optimal conditions at one of the world’s leading sports medicine facilities.

The 25-year-old suffered a heavy collision with Uganda’s goalkeeper, which required surgery in October and halted his momentum just as he was establishing himself at Marseille.

Gouiri had been regaining form following a successful spell at Saint-Étienne, and the injury arrived at a critical point in his season.

At Aspetar, Gouiri is following a detailed rehabilitation program, designed and monitored by a team of elite specialists.

The center recently released images showing the striker engaged in intensive exercises, demonstrating his determination and commitment to returning to full fitness.

Every aspect of his recovery, from strength conditioning to mobility work, follows a structured timeline aimed at both physical recovery and mental resilience.

Marseille’s medical staff are closely tracking his progress, coordinating with the Qatari specialists to ensure a smooth reintegration.

While Gouiri’s participation in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations appears unlikely, his long-term goal remains clear: a return to peak performance for both club and national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Reports suggest a potential return to training in Marseille could occur either at the end of this year or the start of 2026.

Despite the setback, Gouiri has maintained a positive outlook. His focus remains on disciplined rehabilitation, with the objective of returning stronger, faster, and more confident.

The striker’s commitment reflects his ambition to contribute significantly to Marseille and the Algerian national team once fully fit.
