Muglaspor bring in Mali-France striker Ibrahim Sissoko from VfL Bochum
Mali-France centre-forward Ibrahim Sissoko has joined Turkish club Muglaspor from VfL Bochum on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old completed the move on 27 August 2026, switching from Germany’s 2. Bundesliga to Muglaspor’s 1.Lig. Sissoko becomes part of the Turkish club’s attacking options after one season with Bochum, whom he joined from Saint-Etienne in July 2025, also on a free transfer.
Standing at 1.92m, Sissoko is a right-footed striker whose primary position is centre-forward. He was born in Creteil, France, and holds both Mali and French nationality.
Sissoko’s move to Muglaspor continues a career that has included spells across France and Germany. Before joining Bochum, he spent the 2023-24 season with Saint-Etienne after leaving FC Sochaux as a free agent. He had joined Sochaux from Chamois Niort in July 2022.
His earlier career included time with Lorient, AS Beziers, SAS Epinal and Entente SSG. Sissoko moved to Lorient from Beziers at the end of a loan spell in December 2018, before leaving the French club for Niort the following year.
The striker’s market value is listed at €600,000, while his highest recorded value was €2.5m. Muglaspor have secured his services without paying a transfer fee, with the move marking his latest change of club after a series of free transfers in recent seasons.
Sissoko joins Muglaspor at the start of the 2026-27 campaign. His new club competes in the 1.Lig, while Bochum remain in the 2. Bundesliga, giving the transfer a clear change of league and country for the experienced forward.
The completed free transfer took place on 27 August 2026.
