Kylian Mbappe receives 2024/2025 European Golden Boot award

Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé has been crowned the winner of the 2024/2025 European Golden Boot, marking a major milestone in his glittering career.

The prestigious award, presented annually to Europe’s top scorer, uses a points-based system that rewards goals scored in the continent’s most competitive leagues.

Mbappé claimed the honour after netting 31 goals in La Liga during his debut season with Los Blancos.

It is a feat that sees him win the Golden Boot for the first time.

“It’s a pleasure for me to win the Golden Boot. It’s an important moment for me, the first time I win this prize. It means a lot to me as a forward,” the Frenchman who is of Cameroonian descent said.

The French forward has continued his fine form this season, already scoring 11 goals in La Liga and five in the Champions League, further cementing his reputation as one of the game’s most lethal attackers.

With a strong start to the new season, Mbappe could win his second Golden Boot award at the end of the 2025/26 football season.
