German-Nigerian star Jamal Musiala returns to Bayern training in major injury comeback boost

Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala has returned to light training in what the club has described as a significant step in his rehabilitation from a serious leg injury.

The sight of the playmaker back on the pitch marks a huge boost for the Bundesliga champions as he continues his recovery.

Born in Germany to a Nigerian father and German mother, Musiala has often spoken about his multicultural roots and how they shaped his football identity.

The 22-year-old remains one of Europe’s brightest young talents, blending flair and intelligence that reflect his diverse background.

Musiala suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle during Bayern’s 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, an injury that initially sparked fears he would miss the rest of the season.

However, his early return to individual sessions at Bayern’s Sabener Strasse training complex has lifted spirits within the club.

He recently addressed supporters through a social media video, expressing gratitude for their encouragement after undergoing surgery.

“Hello everyone, I wanted to say thank you for all the love and support I got from all of you,” he said.

“It really means a lot to me, and it is nice to see how the football world comes together in a time like this.

“The surgery went really well, I’m in good care… I’m just going to use the next period to build up my strength and my positivity again.”

The German international has already begun light movement drills under Bayern’s medical supervision.

Club staff are reportedly pleased with his progress but remain cautious about setting a return date.

Musiala hopes to be back on the field early next year as Bayern chase another Bundesliga crown and prepare for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

His recovery is being closely monitored, but the early signs suggest one of Europe’s most gifted attackers could make a full comeback sooner than expected.
