Kruger United close in on former AmaZulu FC striker Senzo Ndlovu

Kruger United are close to completing the signing of former AmaZulu FC and Nsingizini Hotspurs striker Senzo “Mbhobho” Ndlovu, according to information received by the Siya crew.

The forward has spent more than a week training with Kruger United and is understood to be nearing an agreement with the club ahead of the 2026/27 season. Talks have progressed significantly, with the move reportedly 95% complete.

“The boy has been training with the team for more than a week now. The deal is at 95% to be sealed,” a source close to the player told the Siya crew.

Ndlovu has become a leading target for Kruger United after a successful loan spell with Nsingizini Hotspurs in Eswatini last season. His regular goalscoring during that period has helped revive interest in the striker from clubs in South African football.

The proposed move would give Ndlovu an opportunity to continue his career after a series of loan spells aimed at providing him with regular first-team experience.

The former AmaZulu FC attacker initially joined Durban City while the club was competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He later moved to Highbury FC before changing clubs again in January, when he joined Nsingizini Hotspurs on loan from AmaZulu FC.

His spell in Eswatini proved to be his most productive period so far. Ndlovu found the net consistently for Nsingizini Hotspurs, strengthening his claims for another opportunity in South Africa.

Before linking up with Kruger United, Ndlovu had also been invited to train with TS Galaxy. The Rockets assessed the striker as he looked for a route back into South African football, but that opportunity did not result in a completed transfer.

Kruger United now appear to have moved ahead in the race for his signature. Although the agreement has not yet been formally concluded, the striker has already spent an extended period training with the squad and the deal is considered to be at an advanced stage.

Ndlovu’s recent form in Eswatini has placed him back on the radar of clubs in the local game. If the reported agreement is finalised, Kruger United would become his latest club after a period in which loan moves have played a significant role in his development.

The striker is now expected to remain with the Kruger United group as discussions continue, with the club closing in on a deal that could secure his services before the 2026/27 campaign.
