Cameroon star Bryan Mbeumo scores fastest Premier League goal this season
Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo scored under two minutes for Manchester United in a high-stake Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Mbeumo, who joined the Red Devils from Brentford during the summer transfer window fired home the opening goal after being set up by Ivory Coast international Amad Diallo.
His strike against Liverpool at Anfield is currently fastest goal scored in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
It is also the only the second time in Premier League history that a goal has been scored in the opening two minutes of a clash between Liverpool and Manchester United. The first instance came at Old Trafford in October 1995, when Nicky Butt found the net for Liverpool’s rivals.
The 26-year-old Cameroon international has scored one goals and provided an assist in seven Premier League appearances for Manchester United. In all competitions, Mbeumo has racked up two goals and provided an assist in eight matches.
Mbeumo arrived at Manchester United with high expectations, having racked up over 20 goals in all competitions for Brentford. He will be hoping to live up to the billing at Manchester United considering the amount involved in his acquisition.
