Nicolas Jackson’s story at Bayern Munich has not unfolded as he or fans hoped.

The 24-year-old forward completed his loan switch from Chelsea in August 2025, aiming to rejuvenate his career and increase playing time after fierce competition for attacking spots at Stamford Bridge left him on the bench much of last season. Bayern sought his athleticism and ability to make smart runs, hoping Jackson could fill a gap in their attack.

But the Bundesliga has been challenging for Jackson, who remains goalless in his first five league appearances for Bayern. Despite featuring in seven total games, he has struggled to convert chances, leaving him searching for his first goal and confidence in domestic competition.

There have been moments of promise. In European matches, Jackson scored once and provided an assist in the Champions League, showing glimpses of the skill that attracted Bayern in the first place.

While frustration grows among fans, Jackson is determined to break his scoring drought and prove himself. Chelsea reportedly is willing to sell him for less than €65 million, a sign that both clubs are weighing their options as the loan unfolds
