Borussia Dortmund have received a major squad boost ahead of their clash with Bayern Munich this weekend.

The fixture promises to be a thrilling battle between the league’s two unbeaten sides, who currently occupy the top spots on the Bundesliga table.

There had been concerns over Guirassy’s fitness after he returned from international duty with a thigh problem. However, head coach Niko Kovac has confirmed that the striker has made a full recovery.

“He’s our life insurance and a great person,” Kovac told sport.de. “He was really annoyed that he got hit on the thigh and couldn’t help the boys the way we’re used to from him. He came back early and has now been able to prepare really well for Saturday.”

Guirassy’s return will be a huge relief for Dortmund fans as the club looks to maintain its unbeaten run and make a strong statement against the reigning champions.

The Week 7 encounter between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 pm on Saturday, October 18, at Allianz Arena.
