Egyptian Football Association launches first “Pro” coaching license and looks toward the future
Egyptian football reached a milestone today as the first-ever “Pro” coaching license course was launched in Cairo by Hany Abou Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association.
This event, praised by experts as a transformative step, aims to uplift coaching standards and develop the technical expertise of club and national team staff.
The yearlong program will equip 25 of Egypt’s top coaches with 370 hours of training across specialized modules, blending science, analytics, administration, and hands-on tactical work. Renowned Tunisian instructor Belhas Malouch led the opening session, stressing the importance of ongoing education, season planning, physical conditioning, and mental preparations for players.
The event brought together coaching legends like Hossam Hassan and Shoukry Gharib, highlighting Egypt’s rich tradition and commitment to excellence. Abu Rida, in his speech, celebrated the launch as the start of a new chapter for Egypt, noting that the course is free for all participants, honoring their contributions and Egypt’s World Cup qualification.
With its sights set on the highest international standards, Egypt’s strategy now centers on empowering coaches to build stronger teams for African and global competitions
