Arsenal eye January move to sign French-Cameroonian midfielder Lucien Agoume
English club Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing France-born midfielder of Cameroonian roots, Lucien Agoume.
The 23-year-old, who has impressed with his performances for Sevilla, has caught the attention of the North London club as they seek to strengthen their midfield with more defensive options.
Agoume’s blend of physical strength and technical quality makes him a strong fit for the Premier League. According to Fichajes, his current contract includes a €40 million (£35m) release clause, a fee Arsenal are financially capable of meeting.
While no official bid has yet been made, the Gunners are believed to be seriously considering an approach.
A move to Arsenal would represent a major step in Agoume’s career. As a Gunner, the youngster would play in one of the most competitive leagues in world football.
The prospect of playing in the UEFA Champions League with Arsenal could convince the French-Cameroonian to agree to the move.
For now, Arsenal’s interest remain speculative and any potential move will become possible only when the English club make a formal bid in the January window.
