Hugo Ekitike welcomes striker rivalry with Alexander Isak at Liverpool
Hugo Ekitike has embraced the challenge of competing with Alexander Isak at Liverpool, calling the presence of the Swedish-Eritreian forward an important part of life at a big club.
The French striker reflected on his journey so far at Anfield as the Reds prepare for their Champions League meeting with Galatasaray.
“I think I’ve settled way, I have had a good adaptation with the boys, the staff, everyone has helped me adapt to a new environment, everything is going well, so I keep going,” Hugo said.
His comments showed both confidence and humility as he discussed the balance between personal growth and healthy competition.
On the presence of Isak, Ekitike was clear. “Good question. We play at such a big club, they cannot have only one striker, so it is good he is here, I still have a lot of things to improve and learn.
“That is for the coach to decide who plays, it’s not up to me. I played with two strikers before and one striker, so I can do a lot of things, so if we have to play together, I can.”
