Al Ahly face Haras El Hodoud with key players missing
Al Ahly will go into their eighth-round Egyptian Premier League clash against Haras El Hodoud without several first-team players, as the club’s medical team confirmed fresh setbacks on Monday evening.
Team doctor Dr. Ahmed Gaballah explained that midfielder Mohamed Magdy Afsha complained of pain in his calf muscle during training and will undergo an X-ray to determine the extent of the problem. His absence leaves a creative gap in the squad ahead of Tuesday’s game.
Gaballah also confirmed that Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, and Mohamed Ben Ramadan will not be available for the match.
“The trio Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, and Mohamed Ben Ramadan were absent from the squad for the upcoming match against Haras El Hodoud due to hamstring strain and lack of medical readiness,” he said.
The list of absentees extends further, with Imam Ashour, Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Mohamed Shoukry, and Moroccan defender Achraf Dari still recovering from earlier injuries.
Despite the setbacks, Al Ahly remain determined to keep their momentum and show the depth of their squad against Haras El Hodoud.
