Zed FC has voiced deep frustration over what it believes are repeated unfair refereeing decisions that have harmed its campaign in the Egyptian Premier League.

In an official statement released on Friday, the club confirmed it had filed a formal complaint with the Egyptian Football Association, led by Hany Abo Rida.

The statement said: “These decisions directly impacted the team’s results and the course of the competition, most notably the Ismaily match and similar refereeing decisions that raised significant questions, as well as the Pyramids match, where the match witnessed clear refereeing violations that had a direct impact on the course and outcome of the match.”

“We specifically mention what happened in the Pyramids match, under the leadership of referee Mohamed Maarouf, when he overlooked a clear expulsion of Pyramids defender Ahmed Sami in the first half. This decision could have radically changed the course of the match.”

Zed also noted that repeated unfavorable calls had demoralized players and staff, stressing that such decisions risk damaging the credibility and reputation of domestic football.
