Al Ahly denies reports of Ahmed Sayed Zizo requesting for treatment abroad

Egyptian Premier League giants Al Ahly have denied reports claiming winger Ahmed Sayed Zizo has requested for treatment abroad.

Zizo, who joined the record CAF Champions League holders from Zamalek suffered an injury setback in his outfit clash against Enppi SC last Sunday.

The enterprising winger was forced off with an injury after just 23 minutes into the high-competitive clash as the side played out a 1-1 draw against their opponent.

Zizo complained of a muscle pain and had to be substituted for Taher Mohamed Taher. Before the game, Zizo had complained of fatigue during the warm-up session, but insisted on playing the match.

The forward underwent scans and was diagnosed with a grade two groin strain and is set to be on the sidelines for sometime.

Earlier report in the media suggested Zizo had requested for a treatment abroad, but the club has swiftly denied. The club insists the news is completely false and has never happened, not even remotely.

Zizo has been impressive for Al Ahly this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five appearances.

Al-Ahly are currently preparing for the upcoming Egyptian Premier League clash against Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday in week 7 of the top-flight.

The Egyptian giants are struggling this season, as they are currently ranked 15th on the league log with six points, winning only once in five matches.
