Spanish-Guinean forward Ansu Fati set to mark Monaco debut against Club Brugge
Spain international of Guinea-Bissau descent Ansu Fati is expected to mark his AS Monaco debut in the upcoming Champions League clash against Club Brugge.
Fati, who joined the French outfit in the just ended summer transfer window has yet to make his debut for the Principality club.
The 22-year-old joined Monaco on a season-long loan from Barcelona in an attempt to secure regular playing time this season.
The talented attacker is edging closer to making his debut for the French outfit. Fati won’t be involved for Monaco against AJ Auxerre on Saturday, however, he could be in the squad for the trip to face Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Fati is more likely to feature in the Ligue next week against FC Metz next, with Monaco manager Adi Hutter craving for his inclusion in the team.
“We can’t wait to have him on the pitch,” said the Austrian ahead of their weekend fixture against Auxerre.
At the international level, the Spanish-Guinea has made 10 appearances for the Spain national team, scoring two goals across the period.
