Bayern Munich are reportedly working on a deal to sign England forward of Nigerian descent Eberechi Eze.
Following stalled negotiations with VfB Stuttgart over Nick Woltemade and the likely departure of Xavi Simons to Chelsea, Bayern’s new head coach Vincent Kompany is reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace’s Eze as a prime target to bolster the squad’s attacking options.
According to The Sun, Eze has emerged as a serious candidate for the Bundesliga champions. The 27-year-old enjoyed a standout campaign last season, recording 14 goals and 11 assists across 43 appearances.
His flair, technical skill, and versatility have made him one of the Premier League’s most admired attacking midfielders.
Although Eze is under contract with Palace until 2027 and has an €80 million release clause, reports suggest the London club may be open to accepting a compelling offer below that figure.
His current market value is estimated at €55 million, while Arsenal are also believed to be monitoring his situation closely and could go as high as €70 million.
Kompany, who is familiar with Eze from his time managing in the Premier League, is reportedly enthusiastic about the possibility of reuniting him with former teammate Michael Olise in Munich.
While it is understood that Crystal Palace are open to the transfer of their star winger, the club will reportedly demand a huge fee.
