Zamalek SC have been hit with a setback as first-team duo Mahmoud Bentayg and Salah Musaddaq have sustained minor muscle strains during preparations for the upcoming season.

The club confirmed that both players are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the team’s training camp in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.

The medical team is working to get them back to full fitness, with the aim of reintegrating them into full training as soon as possible.

Despite the injury concerns, Zamalek’s preseason preparations continue.

The White Knights are scheduled to face Wadi Degla in a friendly match later today, wrapping up their ongoing closed training camp.

The team has already played two warm-up games, securing a narrow 1-0 win over Ra’a last Friday, followed by a thrilling 5-4 victory against Shams on Saturday evening.
