Saudi side Neom SC eyeing move to sign French-Ivorian defender Ismaël Doukouré
Saudi Pro League club Neom SC are interested in signing France-born defender of Ivorian descent Ismaël Doukouré.
The 21-year-old, who featured prominently for Strasbourg last season, has caught the attention of Neom’s technical team as the club looks to reinforce its defensive line ahead of the new campaign.
Doukouré made 31 appearances in Ligue 1, playing a key role in Strasbourg’s qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League under Liam Rosenior.
A France U21 international, Doukouré’s consistent performances have made him a hot prospect in the transfer market, though it remains uncertain whether the player would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia at this stage in his career.
Neom SC, who are making their debut in the Saudi top flight this season, are reportedly exploring multiple defensive options. Alongside Doukouré, the club has also expressed interest in Chelsea and France international Axel Disasi. However, talks with Strasbourg regarding Doukouré have yet to begin.
Checks have revealed that young Ismaël Doukouré is not against a move this summer but wants to stay in Europe.
