Borussia Dortmund are stepping up their efforts to sign Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the future.
The 22-year-old has been on Dortmund’s radar for over a year, with serious consideration given to signing him as early as spring 2024. Talks resumed in the winter of 2025, but no deal has been reached yet.
Bakayoko remains under contract with PSV until the summer of 2026, but the player is reportedly open to a new challenge before then. Dortmund appears ready to pounce should the opportunity arise.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the German club has kept a close watch on Bakayoko and even confirmed their interest in recent weeks through ongoing discussions with the player’s camp.
There’s no official word on a possible transfer fee, but Bakayoko’s market value is believed to be around 35 million euros.
Whether Dortmund will make a concrete offer this summer remains to be seen, but their interest is clearly growing stronger.
