Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou is confident in Al Hilal’s qualification to the next round of the ongoing 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The Saudi Pro League on Sunday drew goalless with Red Bull Salzburg at the Audi Field.
The draw means Hial are without a win after two games, which leaves them in third place in Group H with just two points.
“The match was difficult against a strong and cohesive opponent, but we showed great character and clearly maintained our defensive balance,” Bono said in a press conference.
“I am satisfied with our performance so far, because we have put in a great effort, but the victory was not ours. Our goal is to achieve victory in the next round in order to qualify.”
“We will do our best against Pachuca to qualify for the next round. This is a tournament held every four years, and our goal is to make the fans happy. I feel proud to represent Al Hilal,” he added.
Bono was awarded the FIFA Man of the Match award for his impressive performance against the Austrian team.
Al Hilal has entered a phase of complex calculations before the final round next Friday, when they face Pachuca.
